A space to be yourself
A space where you have the freedom to express yourself. A space where you can meet new people and take the first steps toward growing up. Attending a youth club is a privilege not everyone in the UK has, but it plays a vital role in society.
AirClad are pleased to be sponsoring THE ZONE, a dynamic new youth space for 11-18 year olds ran by Zest Theatre, popping up across Lincoln this summer. As part of our on going commitment to supporting initiatives around the UK and rest of the world where our expertise and knowledge can help facilitate positive changes.
Having done pop-ups in the past, Zeast Theatre were looking for something more substantial. When we heard the words “youth club,” our ears pricked up. How could AirClad’s knowledge and support help areas of society beyond events and retail?
Many youth clubs are shutting down due to underfunding and other issues. Yet, in an age where technology is booming, having a physical social space for people to meet is crucial, especially during the developmental phase between childhood and adulthood.
AirClad is eager to help make this happen. Whether it’s a youth club or a touring space, we have a solution. We recognize that youth clubs have evolved from simply riding bikes and playing football. They now operate on many levels. The challenge is creating a one-stop shop that unites people from different backgrounds and experiences in a way that makes them feel embraced and empowered.
From chilling out on a bean bag for a few hours to participating in full-scale events with DJs and artists, Zest aim to create something useful, flexible, and welcoming. We want to help them break down barriers and embolden people to be themselves.
We are thrilled to see how this develops. While we spend a lot of time helping market and sell premium brands, this initiative is about support. It’s about understanding our purpose and how we can facilitate more positive changes.
Every community needs a shelter or hub where young adults can come together, and AirClad can provide that. We are excited to see how we can push this further in the future.
If you’re in a town with your own youth club or have ideas for something similar, reach out. Let’s create together!
