AirClad pops-up in London’s creative hub
In 2023 AirClad were invited by Clerkenwell Design Week (CDW) to become the first official ‘Future Architecture Partner’ – showcasing a forward-thinking portfolio of temporary structures which can be seen globally, servicing an increasingly sophisticated events industry.
A series of 12 AirClad structures were chosen for specific use across multiple locations, at the leading London event for architecture and design. From colourfully branded Pop-Ups in the historic Crypt, temporary showrooms in Clerkenwell Green – to vibrant CDW-branded information points along the breadth of St Johns Street – AirClad was front and centre, helping brands to tell stories, sell products and ignite conversation.
AirClad also provided a bespoke auditorium – home to the event’s official talks programme ‘Conversations at Clerkenwell’.
CDW 2023 saw AirClad’s mother brand Inflate return to their original stomping ground of East London. The Iconic studio and its founder Nick Crosbie were incubators for design and an influential part of an emerging fraternity in the 90’s and 00’s which now underpins a global creative marketplace.
A pre-built Inflate retrospective hosted in the mobile XTRAIL structure, boasted original iconic Inflate designs – from fun accessories to off the wall fashion – a true insight into the Inflate studio as a hub for the ongoing refinement of AirClad, as well as future architectural concepts.
Founded by RCA grad Nick Crosbie – both AirClad and the AirCell technology, have evolved in-line with a vision to change how the events industry is serviced. Crosbie’s aim was initially to create engaging and inspiring spaces, moving beyond traditional marquees – to be more like event architecture. AirClad today has expanded the potential for brands to communicate their own visions through high quality and agile spaces, as demonstrated at Clerkenwell Design Week.
